The new Optispark, water pump, valve cover seals, oil change, fresh coolant, and probably other things I forgot. Seems to be happy as a clam.

Also ditched the MSD 6A box that was installed by a previous owner. Didn’t seem necessary without the MSD Optispark and coil. But I am going to sell it if any Oppo is interested.

Update: Apologies for the vertical video, was filmed quick to send to the bf. Also my phone doesn’t pick up how great this thing sounds with no mufflers.

Good work! That isn’t a fun area of the engine compartment to work in. Having to put sealant on certain waterpump bolt threads because they go through into the water jacket was a good reminder of how damned old the sbc actually was by time these cars were around.
